What is BetterIf.com?

BetterIf.com was created to let you tell the world how to make things better. Have you ever come out of the theater and told your friends that the movie could have been better if they just changed the ending a little bit, or if one of the characters did something differently? Well, now you can tell everyone and they can weigh in and vote on your ideas.

What are Topics?

Topics start the sentence: "Topic would be better if... ." For example, "Sports" is a topic, so all ideas in that topic will start with: "Sports would be better if... ." Topics were set up to help you choose where to submit your ideas. Click on the topic that interests you to get started. Some topics have more specific sub-topics, allowing you to put your idea into the best place for others to find it. You can view the topics to read ideas, and you can submit your own idea. Create your own topic if you want; but make sure it's in the right place.

What are Ideas?

Ideas complete the sentence: "such and such would be better if..." You can read other people's ideas and then vote and comment on them yourself. Post your own idea on how to make the topic better.

How do I submit my Ideas?

Just browse to a topic that interests you and fill in the form under "Your Idea... ." You will enter your idea, and a reason why it's a good idea. You are trying to convince readers why your idea is a good one. If you have not yet registered, just enter your email address and choose a password. You can update your information from the Profile link.

How do I Vote?

Click on an idea and read the creator's justification (his reasons). Read what others have voted if you like, but make up your own mind. Choose your vote (agree or disagree with the idea) and click on Submit. You have the option to vote anonymously, or to vote as a member. Members can add comments regarding their vote, and their votes carry more weight.

What will you do with my email address?

You may receive occassional emails from BetterIf.com, but your address will be kept private. For more details see our Privacy Policy.

Can I publish your content?

Sure, just make sure you properly attribute where it came from and if online, link to BetterIf.com.
